Galactic Bridges and Tails - film - media formats

These computer simulations were rescanned in 2007 from the 16mm masters of the best of several film sequences, originally prepared by brothers Alar and Juri Toomre in 1971 - 1973.  The films illustrate the main points of their 1972 paper Galactic Bridges and Tails in The Astrophysical Journal.
